PS3 slim shuts off immiedietly PLEASE HELP?

Well I just got a ps3 slim 320 GB and I love it (not replacing xbox 360 I love her to).So I heard Sony was giving away free stuff on PSN.So I got little big planet and InFamous.I kept my ps3 on overnight to let it download the games.Finally after hours the downloads were done but I got hooked on InFamous and played that all day.But I forgot to let it rest.And while I was playing InFamous it made a loud pop noise and it shut off.Ever since then when its in standby mode when I go to turn it on it shuts off like almost immiedietly.Then I have to unplug it and plug it back in for it to go in standby mode again.Please if you know what is happening or how to fix it I would greatly appreciate it.I know I shouldn't have kept it on for that long :(
