Why was it so easy for Obama to push over Texas?

Texas is still part of the United States. When it secedes, I'll have to get a pport to drive through it on my way home to New Orleans, or I'll have to completely change the routes I've been using for the last 30 years and counting. That would be a shame. I really like east Texas and staying in motels in Lindale (Tyler), Marshall, or Longview and giving them and IHOP or Denny's my business.
